Dr. Dean knows a thing or two about small smiles and how to make even the most anxious pediatric dental patient feel comfortable. It’s evident in everything he does that he truly cares for every child he sees and will do everything in his power to help them achieve dental success for years to come. He’s a board-certified pediatric dentist originally from San Luis Obispo, CA who loves his job and feels blessed to have joined Dr. Clay and the talented team at Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga.
In 1997, Dr. Dean received his dental doctorate from Loma Linda University. He then went on to complete an additional two-year residency program and earned a master’s in pediatric dentistry. During this time, Dr. Dean earned several recognitions for his devout dedication to help kids have healthy smiles, including the prestigious Dentistry for Children award.
It’s safe to say that Dr. Dean is serious about continuing education. He’s always on the lookout for advancements in technology and treatments that can make the kind of gentle, compassionate pediatric dentistry available in our office even more beneficial to patients and parents alike. To date, Dr. Dean has completed well over 1,000 hours of continuing education. And if you ask him, that number will only continue to increase as new information and pediatric procedures become available. Dr. Dean is certified in safe oral conscious sedation and offers IV sedation and hospital dentistry for more fearful patients.
Dr. Dean, his wife Tiffany, and children T.J. and Kara love being a part of the vibrant Chattanooga community. You might see them around town playing baseball, basketball, or football. Dr. Dean also loves traveling with his family to new and exciting places while riding a wave or two on his surfboard.
