Heather G. – Registered Dental Assistant
Heather has been a valuable part of the Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga team for a decade. Working in the office is rewarding for her in so many ways, but the best thing about being a dental assistant is working closely with our patients of all ages. Heather says there’s never a boring or dull day and that being in the office working with children and their smiles is always a fun experience that she’s proud to be a part of. Heather is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College. Besides helping our dentists better serve our patients and their parents, Heather is also cross-trained to clean teeth through an expanded functions certificate in coronal polishing, and help patients at the front desk. She can do it all!
Ashley W. – Registered Dental Assistant
Ashley says one of the most rewarding things about her job is knowing that you’re really making a difference in a child’s life by simply fixing teeth that are bothering them and helping them understand how important it is to care for their smile. She’s a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College with a decade (and counting) of experience working in dentistry. You’ll see Ashley around the office assisting the doctors with restorative and sedation treatments. Ashley has an expanded functions certificate in Coronal Polishing, as well. Like her fellow talented team members, Ashley believes in genuinely taking care of every single patient – not just simply treating their problems – but finding the best possible way every day to ensure every patient has a positive, meaningful experience. She loves outdoor activities and exploring new things with her husband, daughter, and two dogs when she’s not at work.
Jessica W. – Registered Dental Assistant
This busy mom of four kids (including twins) knows a thing or two about what it takes to keep kids’ smiles healthy and help them understand the many benefits of taking special care of their teeth. Jessica began working in pediatric dentistry in 2011 when she joined our dental family. She says one of the many highlights of being a registered dental assistant (besides assisting the doctors with many different procedures and treatments) is getting to form a special relationship with patients and their families over time while watching kids grow and mature. Jessica has a deep connection with kids and a passion for helping them succeed. So much like all our dental assistants, Jessica has an expanded functions certificate in coronal polishing. She loves taking care of her kids: daughter Savannah, twins Brooklyn and Breanna, and son Kash. She’s been married five years and enjoys spending time at the softball fields on the weekend, playing various sports, and being outdoors as a family.
Marie – Front Office Staff
For over a decade Marie has been helping dental patient of all ages get the quality care they need to have a healthy smile. When you come to Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga for a visit, you’re probably going find Marie stays pretty busy at the office. She’s usually checking patients in and out, helping patients with payment questions, and scheduling all of your upcoming appointments. Marie says she enjoys being a part of our team because everyone in the office is so kind and genuinely committed to helping children be healthy and actually love coming to see the dentist. If you see Marie, don’t be shy, show her your smile and say, “Hi!”
Sarah B. – Registered Dental Assistant
Sarah is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College earning her dental assistant certification and a bachelor’s in elementary education. Both degrees prove quite useful during her days in the office helping kids of all ages learn about how to keep their smiles strong. As a dental assistant, Sarah has completed training to obtain her expanded functions certificate in coronal polishing. Sarah says working with patients and their parents is so rewarding, especially when you’re able to form strong bonds with one another and watch kids grow up healthy together. You can usually find Sarah helping the doctors with various procedures in both the office and during hospital visits. No matter where she’s at, Sarah always goes out of her way to make sure your child’s experience is positive and upbeat. When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys spending time and playing music with her husband and hanging out with family and friends.
Caroline G. – Front Office Staff
Caroline brings nearly a decade of experience working in the medical field to our pediatric dental office. She’s a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College with a degree in office management. Caroline is also a certified office systems specialist. You’ll most likely see Caroline when you’re checking in and checking out from appointments. She’s loves meeting new people, interacting with patients, and having a positive impact on people’s lives. Caroline stays active outside the office as a member of the Chattanooga Sports League soccer team, going to the gym, running, hiking, working out, traveling, babysitting, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Deana B. – Front Office Manager/Hospital Coordinator
Deana is in charge of the front office and making sure things are running smoothly and efficiently. Deana has a degree in early childhood education that she puts to good use working with pediatric patients at Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga. With over two decades of experience in the exciting world of dental health care, she’s knowledgeable and understanding. When she’s not working you’ll most likely find Deana cheering on her teenage daughter at a soccer match or track meet. Deana also enjoys exploring new places and relaxing with friends and family.
Ashley C. – Front Desk
Ashley will tell you that there are quite a few things that set Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga apart from the competition. Mainly it’s our extremely talented, gentle team, the G-scale Gardner Chattanooga choo choo that travels nine feet above our office, and also the 180-gallon, saltwater-reef fish tank. We couldn’t agree more! You’ll meet Ashley and the other friendly front desk staff when you and your little one check in and out of appointments. If you have questions, Ashley is always happy to help you find a solution. Ashley enjoys traveling, going to concerts, spending time with family and friends, playing with her pug named Knox, and taking in all of the exciting attractions downtown Chattanooga has to offer.
Abby B. – Registered Dental Hygienist
Abby is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College with a degree in dental hygiene. She’s closing in on nearly 20 years experience working specifically in pediatric dentistry. This explains why she loves working with children, watching them grow up over the years, and helping them understand how important it is to take good care of their smile. She works very hard to always make a child feel stress-free and calm during any treatment or visit to the office. Most importantly, Abby says, is she wants to alleviate dental fears or anxiety so that patients love coming to see the dentist both as a child and as a teen and adult. Abby has been married to her husband Greg for almost 20 years and they have three beautiful daughters: 13-year-old Madison, 10-year-old Cailyn, and 5-year-old Gracen. The family is usually very busy attending various extracurricular activities like softball, gymnastics, and golf.
Sandra A. – Financial Coordinator
Sandra is a whiz when it comes to helping parents navigate billing questions and finances. She loves answering questions and making sure your dentistry needs are being met. Sandra says seeing her fellow talented team members at the office each day and watching the children love coming to the dentist are two of the things she loves best about working at Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga. Sandra is always willing to speak with you about the best way to afford your child’s care. She’s got all the tips and trick to help you make the most of your money. When she’s not working, Sandra is usually spending quality time with her husband and two precious kids. She also enjoys traveling to new places and doing fun activities with her children.
Krista F. – Registered Dental Hygienist
Krista is a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College. She’s been a working in the dentistry field since 2004 and Krista has been a valuable part of our team since 2009. Krista helps patients at Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga as a dental hygienist showing them proper brushing techniques, taking care of their teeth, and providing super helpful information that patients and parents can use at home. She also enjoys hitting the roads, visiting schools and daycares to share the importance of good hygiene and maintaining dental health visits. Krista says talking with kids both in the office and in the community along with working with great co-workers are what makes her job so much fun. Krista is married with two children and two dogs. She’s involved in her church, loves doing activities with her kids, goes hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Laura N. – Registered Dental Assistant
Laura has been working in dentistry for nearly 40 years, and it shows in her extensive dental knowledge and genuine care she provides our patients. She’s trained in advanced dental radiography and obtained an expanded functions certificate in coronal polishing. At the office, Laura talks to patients and families about their health history, assists her team members chairside during treatments, and she always goes out of her way to make people feel comfortable and cared for. Laura loves working in our office because of the teamwork and also because even though everyone is very professional, we still know how to have fun and smile. Laura moved the area not too long ago, and when she’s not working, you’ll probably find her taking in all of the fun and exciting activities Chattanooga has to offer.
Susan K. – Insurance Coordinator
Susan holds a degree in biology from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. She plays a significant role in helping our family of patients understand their dental insurance benefits and how they’re used to keep care affordable. Helping people comes naturally to Susan, so it’s easy to understand why she loves the work she does at Children’s Dentistry of Chattanooga. She truly works hard and does her very best to be a good liaison between our dental insurance partners and our patients and their families. Outside of the office, Susan enjoys being with her family and friends. She also stays busy taking care of her dogs and gerbils.
